Astha Tamang-Maskey - Khaali

Born and raised in Kathmandu, Astha moved to Canada at the age of 12, where she found her true self as a singer, performer and a songwriter. Astha’s musical influences are widely opened and she describes her song as independent pop, although her debut album, “Sabai Thikai Huncha” has a heady mixture of pop, jazz and a touch of various other elements. Independently released by Astha, the album is a mix of acoustic, live and electronic music, with 1 English and 7 Nepali songs co-written by Astha and her mother Susan Maskey.

She has performed at numerous Toronto music venues such as the Smiling Buddha, the Reverb, Holy Joes, the Horseshoe Tavern, Tranzac and the Opera House to name a few. She has also performed at multiple music festivals in Nepal such as Fête de la Musique, Nepal Music Festival, the Chevrolet Miles Music Festival and the Himalayan Blues Festival. Which are Astha's inner demons? Watch next video and you'll see. Excellent song and excellent video!!!
