Tarabband - Hanna El Sikran

Tarabband is formed by Nadin Al Khalidi (singer and Saz player), Gabriel Hermansson (oud, guitar, vocals), Dan Svensson (percussion, flute, vocals), Filip Runesson (violin), Romain Coutama (bass) and Stephan Jarl (percussion, vocals). Tarab, in Arabic, stands for deep and passionate connection between the musicians and the audience. Tarabband picks out the “golden crown” from the Arabic music treasures. Their repertoire contains both traditional Arabic songs as well as the group’s own unique compositions.

They present Arabic music from Lebanon, Iraq and North Africa with new flavors and variated influences. Nowadays they are based in the Swedish city Malmö, where cultures from all over the world interact and melt into each other, creating an interesting cultural base in Europe. Next song is a good example of a really good piece of music. Enjoy it!!!
