Han Xue - Sheng Xia De Ge

Do you remember Beijing Summer Olympic Games in 2008? Remember the closing ceremony? On August 24th, the 29th Olympic Games came to an end at the National Stadium in Beijing. At the closing ceremony, the young singer and actress, Han Xue, joined top-notch singers from across the Chinese speaking world to entertain a global audience of millions.

Today we take a look at this rising star. Han Xue was born to a family of entertainers. Her grandmother was once the leading lady in an army song and dance troupe. And her aunt is a well known musician in Canada, where she now lives. So it was only natural for Han Xue to enter the entertainment world. At the age of 6, she enrolled at the Suzhou City Choir, where six years of training laid a solid foundation for her singing career. After leaving the choir, she won a string of top honors at singing contests across China.

In 2007, Han Xue performed at the prestigious Spring Festival Gala, singing the soulful tune, "Wind of Bamboo". In 2008, she again made it into the Spring Festival Gala, joining the cast of the short sketch "Guards on the Street". The play won wide popular acclaim across the country.

Now, Han Xue is trying to put the focus on her acting career. Recently she has taken several challenging roles in TV dramas like "Great Crackdown" and "Above and Under Ground". Last september she released her newest single which it is the next one. The audio maybe is not the best we can listen to but it was the best available.
