Born in Mumbai, one of the most bustling cities in India, Santosh fell in love with the sights and sounds of the metro from the age he knew how to listen and differentiate sounds he fell head over heels over music. He graduated in the year 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from SRM University, Chennai.
Though music has always been an integral part of his life since he was a kid, the realization that he wanted to become a pro came to him whilst the serious analysis of the DNA structure. He took small and steady steps to work his way up. Life is not a bed of roses and he found himself fighting to sing and perform better everyday. He met newer challenges, faced tougher competitions and battled it out with other equally talented singers to prove his prowess in music. In a very short span, Santosh grew into an imminent and an aspiring singer from a just graduated.
His salient and sturdy inspiration has always been Shankar Mahadevan. Seeing him perform live on stage, Santosh instantly knew that he wanted to be a singer and a performer. His urge to pursue grew stronger after attending the RDC camp in 2004. He performed songs like Varaga nadhikarai oran (Sangamam) and Sandana thendrale (Kandukonden kandukonden) in various occasions and became a very popular singer in his school.
