J-Min is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress mostly active in Japan under the labels of SM Entertainment and Nayutawave Records. She was born in Seoul and she can speak three languages, her native Korean, Japanese, and English. J-Min names her favorite artists as Kasabian, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Chick Corea, and Michelle Branch (in fact next song may remind you of some of Michelle's old songs). In 2007, she debuted in Japan with her first mini-album Korogaru Ringo. She recently performed two songs at SMTown Live World Tour III. "One" and "Stand Up" for the OST of the hit drama "To The Beautiful You".
J-Min herself is described as a borderless artist. This is her new single, "If You Want". The PV takes place at a school and revolves around the concept "music is borderless." From my point of view it's quite different from what we are used to listen from South Korea and it is clearly evident the occidental influence on it. Overall, it's a really interesting song.
